Sustainable finance for a recovered and resilient economy

Our history

We are the first and only sustainable finance center in Latin America that strengthens the relationship between academia, the public and private sectors.

Since 2019, we articulate the scaling of investment with positive impact, based on technological innovation and socio-environmental sustainability.

Our work

Sustainability is a global imperative that raises challenges in several dimensions. To meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate targets, greater financing is required, as well as a rethinking of companies' current operating practices.

We rely on a team of expert researchers who have a deep understanding of these issues and can help turn challenges into opportunities.

Located within the University of los Andes, we have a comprehensive approach with scientific basis, objectivity and academic rigor that guarantees high-level analysis to accelerate, promote change and advance in the transition to an equity-based and low-carbon economy.

Our topics

Sustainable investment opportunities

The transition to sustainability requires a large amount of financial resources. In other words, it holds the potential for the creation and fostering of projects with long-term vision.

We focus on the recognition and valuation of sustainable investment opportunities in the region.

Climate change related risks

Risks arise from environmental changes, constraints on the use of polluting resources, and technological and social transformations.

We identify and assess events that may cause impairment, in order to mitigate adverse consequences, increase resilience, and adapt.

Product innovation and financial mechanisms for sustainability

Generating solutions to current problems implies the need for disruption in the traditional ways of doing, to readjust structures, foresee and address institutional demands, along with the shift in consumer preferences and habits.
